KPIs Speckle Automation

Abstract
Automated pipeline that transforms raw 3D model metadata into accessible, structured cloud spreadsheets. Speckle-based automation triggered on each model submission validates KPIs against the architectural program.
Context / Problem
This automation seeks to mitigate the data communication gaps concerning geometric information among three fundamental project teams. Within the context of a large-scale building project exceeding 1,000,000 m², the proliferation of complex geometries poses significant challenges for interdisciplinary coordination.
Methodology
A Speckle-based automation was implemented, triggered upon each model submission to a centralized server and shared repository. These data are synchronized with spreadsheets, enabling each team to iterate on geometries and parameters that inherently impact the workflows of other disciplines.
Results
The processed data is integrated into a web platform where Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are validated against the architectural program. The tool is considered successful when pushing an update from Grasshopper to Speckle automatically triggers the generation of the updated spreadsheet.
Conclusions
The entire cycle is optimized through a robust metadata extraction pipeline, ensuring high levels of efficiency and data integrity across disciplines.
